You are purchasing hand carved materials, so there will be slight variances in diameter, color and design between pairs. When filling your order, we select the pair(s) that are the most beautiful, rather than a replica of the image you see on our website.


Organic materials should not come into contact with water or humidity, as those elements (along with a change in altitude or climate) can cause it to warp, crack, or break. Direct sunlight can also cause warping, cracking, or breaking, please make sure to store your jewelry in a dry dark space. TAWAPA is not responsible for breaks or cracks in the jewelry that occur after delivery and/or during wear. Please don't sleep in your jewelry, as it may break.


If you would like to shine up any of the horn, bone and wood, Jojoba Oil works great. Organic jewelry does dry out over time, so applying a miniscule dab of Jojoba Oil to a toothbrush, sponge or cloth and then gently rubbing it on the jewelry will help moisturize it. Make sure to remove any excess oil with a paper towel.  Our jewelry is for healed piercings only and not to be used for the process of stretching.

Upon approval AND verification of credit card information, orders will be processed for shipment. Inconsistent data and/or billing information may delay your order.

The cost for domestic shipping is $6.00 and domestic orders are shipped via USPS First Class. If a different service is preferred please contact us immediately after placing your order.  We can also ship via UPS ground and UPS next day delivery. Prices for these additional services vary, so rates will be calculated based on weight and location. All international orders are shipped via USPS International Priority. International rates vary based on weight and the country being shipped to. Please note our shipping rates do not include customs fees which vary from country to county. If your order is shipped incorrectly due to a mistake on our part, we will provide you with a return shipping label and reship the correct items to you at no additional cost. If an item is backordered you will be charged only when the backordered item is ready to ship (after your approval).



Delivery times vary depending on your geographic location or order date. Orders shipped to the East Coast (US) are usually delivered within 4-5 business days. International orders take a minimum of 6-10 business days to arrive. We will make every effort to deliver your package to you as soon as possible. However, there are conditions that might cause delays. If you have not received your order within 2 weeks (Domestic shipments) or 1 month (International shipments) please contact us.  Please note: We are not responsible for packages lost, or delays incurred while your shipment is in the custody of any postal delivery service.


Be sure that you know your exact size in millimeters when ordering jewelry from us. Our jewelry is measured in millimeters and not gauges or inches. Please use the conversion chart that we have made available to you when ordering jewelry. All plugs are double flared, unless stated otherwise, in order to keep the jewelry from slipping out of the ear.  The flares measure at 1-2mm larger than the wearable size depending on the size of the plug.

Tawapa is not responsible to refund, exchange or credit your account for any jewelry that the customer erroneously ordered in the wrong size; was bought by the customer without taking into consideration the size of the flare; or because of the customer's conversion (or failure of conversion) error.


Tawapa unconditionally guarantees all products we manufacture and sell at our online store to be free from defects of workmanship on arrival: chips, broken pieces, warping, inlays detaching, jewelry with visible break and glue lines (aka: glue job), mismatched jewelry (more than 1/2 mm difference in 12.5mm and smaller and more than 1mm difference in sizes larger than 12.5mm). However, the decision as to whether or not jewelry is considered defective is ultimately, though fairly, at Tawapa’s discretion.

When receiving your order, you will find your jewelry enclosed in a heat sealed plastic bag. DO NOT break the heat seal until after you have thoroughly examined the jewelry and decided it is to your liking. Once the seal is broken, the jewelry cannot be returned or exchanged.

If you have received damaged or defective jewelry please contact us immediately at Jewelry that is defective or damaged includes: chips, broken pieces, warping, inlays detaching, jewelry with visible break and glue lines, mismatched/poorly sized jewelry (more than 1/2 mm difference in 12.5mm and smaller and more than 1mm difference in sizes larger than 12.5mm). Defects or damages do not include jewelry that the customer erroneously ordered in the wrong size or has been worn! Tawapa is not responsible to refund, exchange or credit your account for any jewelry that the customer cannot fit due to highly pierced lobes, scar tissue or crooked piercings.

Please note: The decision as to whether or not jewelry is considered defective will ultimately, though fairly, be at Tawapa's discretion. We will gladly replace or refund you for any unopened jewelry that you wish to return. Please contact our Customer assistance center at 213-765-8921 or e-mail us at for notification of your return. Domestic returns must be received by TAWAPA within 15 days of delivery to you.  International returns must be received by TAWAPA within 30 days of delivery to you. We do not cover return shipping unless the piece you received was the incorrect item, or arrived damaged/defective.

If you would like to replace a damaged or defective item that is still in it's heat sealed bag, we can send you a new replacement. If a replacement is not available we can backorder you a new item, or you may select another design of the same value for trade.  If you do not wish to receive a replacement we can also credit your account or refund your credit card. We apologize for any inconvenience.

OTHER STEPS TAKEN FOR SECURITY practices the highest level of security before authorizing an order. Each order is inspected individually to prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity to our customers' payment method, and an order must be authorized by both our Merchant Payment Server and a Sales Manager. If an order is unauthorized, you will receive a telephone call and/or email from Customer Service. Due to this extra security service, please understand that your order processing may be delayed. However, we like to think that this small inconvenience outweighs dealing with any fraudulent and/or unauthorized activity to your account.
